The mission of Autonomous Exploration Inc. is to develop and deploy technologies that will enable autonomous exploration of both large data sets and remote physical environments. A core competence of the organization is the application of Bayesian inference methods to real-world problems. As an extension of Bayesian inference methods, the corporation is developing practical applications of the calculus of questions to control autonomous operations.
Our research efforts focus on autonomous navigation, vehicle health monitoring, sensor fusion, automated inquiry and adaptive sampling, as well as advanced sampling methods designed to implement Bayesian inferential processes. We are also designing modular circuitry that will enable robots to be assembled from subsystems, which communicate with one another autonomously with minimal programming overhead.
